What are Speedcubing Competitions?

Governed by the worldwide WCA (World Cube Association) , speedcubing competitions are held regularly across the globe. At these official tournaments, volunteer organizers, delegates, and competitors gather to compete in various events. These events include the classic 3x3x3 cube, as well as cubes from 2x2x2 to 7x7x7, Pyraminx, Skewb, Square-1, Megaminx, 3x3x3 to 5x5x5 Blindfolded, Multi-Blind, and FMC. Before your first competition, you should read the official WCA Regulations and watch the Competitor Tutorial .

What to expect at a Competition?

First and foremost: Speedcubing competitions are all about fun and community. No matter your age or how quickly you solve the cube, you are welcome. You will meet like-minded people, exchange ideas, learn new tricks, and have a great time in a friendly atmosphere. Even if you feel you aren’t “fast enough” yet - participating is what counts and everyone is welcome!
